Privacy & Data Handling Policy
We collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we do collect, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions: if you write to us via the contact form, we receive your name, email, optional phone number and the message you send.
- Email correspondence: if you email info@2323designs.in directly, we retain the conversation in our regular mail system.
- Basic analytics: our hosting provider records anonymised access logs (IP, browser type, referrer). We do not currently run third-party trackers or marketing pixels.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry.
- To remember the context of a previous conversation when you write to us again.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are read most.
How we protect it
Submissions are stored in standard business email and a small CRM. Access is limited to the founders and the partnerships team. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Field photography & consent
For project photographs taken during fieldwork, we obtain consent from participants — verbal at minimum, written where the photograph is identifiable and likely to be used in publication. If you are a participant and wish a photograph removed, please write to us.
Your rights
You may at any time write to info@2323designs.in to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site currently uses no cookies for tracking or advertising. We may, in future, use a small privacy-respecting analytics cookie — if we do, we will update this section and (where required) ask for your consent.
How we engage on projects
What we take on
We take on a small number of projects per year. Typical engagements involve:
- Skill development and training programmes for artisans, weavers and women entrepreneurs.
- Design and product development for craft clusters, MSMEs and conscious brands.
- Market access, buyer linkages and catalogue building.
- Cultural curation, event design and platform building.
- Programme design and curriculum work for institutional partners (UN agencies, foundations, state missions, industry bodies).
What we typically do not take on
- One-off graphic design or website work disconnected from a longer programme.
- Engagements shorter than three months — the work rarely lands meaningfully.
- Projects without a named, accountable partner on the ground.
How a project usually starts
- An introductory conversation (call or in-person).
- A written scope and budget proposal from us.
- A signed engagement letter or MoU.
- A short discovery phase before full programme rollout.
Intellectual Property
Design work produced for a partner — collections, catalogues, identity systems, curriculum materials — is, by default, jointly owned with the partner organisation and the artisan or community involved, with clear use rights specified in the engagement letter.
Original designs developed for craft communities remain attributable to the makers; we do not claim sole authorship over heritage techniques or community motifs.
Photographs taken by us during fieldwork are owned by Twenty3 Stories Endeavors Pvt Ltd, with use rights extended to the partner and the participating community for non-commercial purposes.
